How to see your Doctor:

For a doctor of your choice, you may book ahead, But for urgent appointments you may need to see another doctor. We do run an appointment system, but keep a few slots open to fit in with urgent problems. Emergency cases will have first priority.


You can make an appointment with the doctor by phoning the surgery after 8am Monday-Saturday. It is advisable to allow a few days notice for non urgent and routine appointments. The forward bookings made for daily surgery are limited to ensure a reasonable number of times are available for urgent daily calls.


Walk-In Appointments:

We normally require an appointment to see a doctor but for patients who walk in requesting an appointment, we will ask a doctor if they can see you, although we would prioritise patients who already have a booking unless it is an emergency.  If we are unable to offer an appointment on the day, we will provide an alternative day & time.

Services Available:

General Practice Consultations, Routine Check-ups, Worker's Compensation, Minor Surgery, Antenatal Care, Pap Smears, Pregnancy Tests, Counselling, Childhood and General Vaccinations, Skin Checks, Baby Clinic, Child Health, Women's Health, Men's Health, Chronic Disease Management Plans, Health Assessments, Medical Examinations for Pre-Employments & Driver's License. Specialist Services: Psychologist (by appointment).


Fees & Billing Arrangements:

Standard consultations will be charged at $70 and the rebate from Medicare will is $37.05.

Longer appointments will be charged at $104 and the rebate from Medicare is $71.70.

The receptionist will advise you of the fees for longer consultations. There will be a charge of $3 for patients wishing to start an account.

EFTPOS is available.


Bulk billing is available for all children under the age of 16, Pensioners and Veteran Affair cardholders only. Healthcare card holders will be charged a reduced fee.


Patients experiencing genuine financial difficulties, either temporary or permanent, are invited to discuss their situation with the doctor.


Recall & Reminder Systems:

Patients are encouraged to return to the surgery to discuss their results (pathology, scans etc.), particularly if the treating doctor has requested them to do so. Even if initial tests are normal, further testing or treatment may still be required. However, should there be any abnormality with the results, the doctors will personally contact the patient via telephone to discuss otherwise a registered mail will be sent. Please let the reception staff  know promptly if you change your phone number or address to facilitate a more efficient recall system. For Preventative promotion, all patients of the Practice will automatically be on our national/state/local reminder/recall system for pathology results and health promotion. If you do not want to be on any of these reminder systems, please let us know so that we can take your name off the system.


After Hours Arrangements:

We endeavour to look after our patients are all times. When the surgery is closed, a doctor from National Home Doctors Service is available after 5pm weeknights, after 11am Saturdays and all day Sundays and public holidays for problems needing urgent medical attention. The after hours phone number is 13 74 25 (13 SICK).


24 Hour medical advice is also available by calling the GP Helpline on 1800 022 222.

Home Visits:

Home Visits are available for regular patients of the Practice in exceptional cases only and are subject to the doctor's availability. Please call early in the day so a visit can be organised. The doctor usually sees the patient before or after surgery, or at lunch time (1-2pm). Standard Fee of $150.00 applies however it is at the doctor’s discretion.


Telephone Access:

Doctors in the Practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient a message will be taken and you will be advised by the receptionist when it is likely that the doctor will return your call. Your call will always be put through to the doctor in an emergency.

Email Communication:

We do not communicate via email with patients.


Your Privacy:

All medical records are confidential and are securely stored in our computer system with password protection, out of the public's reach. Your personal health information may be disclosed to other health professionals such as specialists for your continuous quality of care. You may access your medical records with your doctor as a consultation or you may request a copy where an administration fee of $55 will apply. All original medical records belong to the Practice.

Your Rights:

We are constantly striving to provide our patients with the best possible care and attention. If you have any problems, suggestions or complaints, we like to hear them. Please feel free to talk to the doctors or Practice Manager. There is a suggestion box for your feedback if you prefer to write to us. All concerns, suggestions and complaints are taken seriously. If you feel that you need to take the matter further and wish to discuss the matter outside the surgery, there are several options available. eg. NSW Medical Board (Ph: 9879 2200) or Health Care Complaint Commission (Ph: 1800 043 159) or Australian Commission on Safety & Quality in Health Care (Ph: 9263 3633).
